Medical Consultations

All appointments are booked at the secretariat, either in person or by telephone and always by appointment. Just turn up 10 minutes before your appointment time.

The Scheduled Medical Appointment is an appointment by appointment that aims to accompany the user and respond to their needs, such as monitoring appointments for health problems or others, regardless of their age and situation.

– It is not an emergency consultation.
– They can be booked at the initiative of the user.
– They can be used to issue documents (certificates, statements and reports).

Child Health

The Child Health consultation is carried out in conjunction with nursing. It follows the guidelines of the Direcção Geral de Saúde regarding the Growth and Maturation of 0-18 year olds and the National Vaccination Plan.

They must be carried out
– up to 15 days old;
– at the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th and 18th month of life;
– at 2, 3 and 4 years of age;
– from 5 to 6 years old (Global Health Examination);
– at the age of 8 years;
– from 11 to 13 years old (Global Health Examination);
– at 15 and 18 years of age.

You should contact the USF soon after the birth of your baby for the heel prick (preferably between the 4th and the 7th day of your child’s life).

The Maternal Health consultation provides prenatal care to all pregnant women. It is also linked to the nursing consultation.
Even if you do not wish to have your pregnancy monitored at this USF, you should inform your GP as soon as you find out that you are pregnant.

This consultation is intended for “low risk” pregnancies, so all pregnancies with increased clinical risk will be referred to the Hospital Centre of Tâmega e Sousa or another of the pregnant woman’s preference.

Maternal Health

Family Planning

The Family Planning consultation is for all women of childbearing age. It is combined with a nursing consultation.

– It covers women who want to get pregnant in a planned way or are avoiding it.
– Cervical cancer screening is also performed.

The Non-Presential Consultation allows the renewal of chronic prescription and/or other administrative procedures. It can be requested daily at the secretariat.

In order to avoid misuse of the services of the USF only the prescription considered chronic and of the knowledge of the General Practitioner will be subject to renewal.

You can also request your chronic prescription via internet.

Home Consultation

Home consultations are reserved for users who are dependent or without physical conditions to travel to the USF.
